Most of you know that we’re getting ready to launch our very first game here at Unique Apps… we’re extremely excited, as well as a little nervous!

I’ve been working full time on the internet for the last 7 years, but this whole iPhone scene is a completely new beast … things are different here.

So, although I’ve built many successful companies over the years, I consider myself a complete “NEWBIE” when it comes to marketing on the iPhone.

Our first iPhone apps have done well, but our decision to pursue game development has not only been because of market research, but also a very personal decision.

Not only are iPhone games one of the hottest markets right now … we actually REALLY enjoy playing them…. So it’s kind of a win/win for us!

Anyway … this new game has kept me up for hours trying to really figure out the best way to launch this.

I’ll be sharing A LOT of the “behind the scenes” stuff that we are doing, but I mainly wanted to share a post from Tap Tap Tap today.

During my countless hours of scouring the internet for tips and strategies on launching iPhone apps, I came across a BRILLIANT post from Phill Ryu, one of the parters of Tap Tap Tap.

His post is called “The Cookie Cutter Guide to Charting in the App Store” , and has been one of my favorite reads OF ALL TIME about marketing on the iPhone.

I think any iPhone developer can learn something from that post, and I would even go as far to say that if you don’t learn anything… then read it again …

The lessons in Phill’s post are not only insightful, but incredibly simple … things that ANY iPhone developer can start working on NOW to ensure success in this market.

So, if you are an iPhone developer … hell … If you’re marketing ANYTHING on the internet, then I think you can learn a thing or two from this post.

Today marks the first day of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver … The 2010 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony!

I figured in the spirit things … I’d show you guys the cool iPhone app dedicated to the olympics.

It’s a great application that shows featured videos, photos, and schedules of the entire event.

My favorite part of the application is the schedules.

You can now get an olympic schedule of any event on tv or online.

You can also sort the schedules by category or event type.

Another really cool feature about this application is you can get alerts on your iPhone or iPod Touch for any event schedule you want.
